Busy, busy......

Yes, I've been so busy that I haven't appeared here as often as I thought I would. However, it's not "bad stuff" going on in my life (thankfully) that's kept me from writing. It's all good, creative activity, which is what I seem to thrive on. Making jewelry, learning new things, working hard on special projects; these are the things that get me excited...and sometimes keep me awake at night.In the learning-new-things category, I am now in a Photoshop class that will hopefully improve my skills with that program. The class was originally scheduled for Monday afternoons but, due to the fact that I was the only one signed up for that time slot, I've had to join the Tuesday evening group. YIKES! Learning new things in the evening means that my brain will not shut down until about 3:00 am or so. With that in mind, don't ask me to function on any given Wednesday from now until the end of the eight weeks of classes. It will be Zombie Wednesdays for me!The big project I've been spending time on is the Signatures wearable arts fashion show and luncheon that went off beautifully this past Saturday. I worked to get my personal inventory to greater numbers but also pushed myself to create some pieces that were unique and a bit more complicated than my normal work. I love that kind of challenge. I also love working with dedicated women on a project like this one. It's how I really get to know people and to see what they are made of. Of course, they are discovering the same things about me...good or bad.This week, I hope to spend time working on a special birthday present (shhh), rearranging my display at the gallery and presenting some pieces to (hopefully) jury into a new group of like-minded artists. Who knows, maybe I'll even get some writing done.I hope that everyone has a productive and peaceful week.
