Reflecting On Life In Quarantine

We have all been hit with unprecedented challenges during these months of quarantine. Many of us have had additional health issues to deal with at a time when it was nearly impossible to get medical attention. Deep into it, I decided that the best action was to keep looking forward and making plans for the future. These thoughts provided good subject matter for my month seven contribution to the Round Robin.

As an artist, I feel that I had a great advantage over those who have a difficult time filling idle time. The stay-at-home order actually brought a sense of relief and some extra time to paint and journal. It now appears that we are through the worst of it and, I have to confess, I am feeling a bit of apprehension about returning to my previous normal. This time at home has been a blessing and I have appreciated the gift.

What are your thoughts?

How are you feeling about going back out into the world? Are there any anxious thoughts weighing you down? Or perhaps you are all out looking forward to regaining your ability to socialize in person. Yes, I am feeling that as well. Over the last year, I’ve felt often that we have been in some kind of social experiment to see just how we will react, and the final report has yet to be written. Tell me what you think.
